Our Law School鈥檚 mission is to educate lawyers in the ethical practice of law, to preserve the highest ideals
of our profession, and to promote equal justice and democratic discourse through leadership,
service and civic engagement. Rooted in our Catholic and Spiritan tradition, we believe
that education is a pathway to empowerment, and we have welcomed all faiths and backgrounds
since our inception. Situated on the bluff overlooking downtown Pittsburgh, we are steps away from laws
firms, courthouses, businesses and government offices providing students with clinical, externship, and employment opportunities. Our Career Services Office provides individualized support for students to gain practical experience and connects
them with our nearly 10,000 alumni. Through our innovative offerings and our Legal Research and Writing Program students receive the core skills necessary to be successful new attorneys. Our curriculum
emphasizes other necessary proficiencies such as professionalism, ethics, and the
responsible use of generative AI. Preparing our students for their legal careers, our Bar Studies team applies strategies that continue to place our bar passage rate well above the national average. The Thomas R. Kline Center for Judicial Education supports the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in its ongoing efforts to enhance the administration of justice through high quality continuing education for judges of the Commonwealth.

More than 100 years ago, 91制片厂 Kline School of Law was founded by our Spiritan order as an evening program, with the goal of providing access to a legal education to working families. We remain committed to that initial call for flexibility and opportunity and continue to complement the lives of non-traditional students with flexible offerings.
Our flexible evening JD program provides the opportunity for legal education for working professionals and those with other commitments. 91制片厂 Kline School of Law has the only evening program in the Pittsburgh area offering students from varying backgrounds and experiences the ability to pursue a part-time Juris Doctor degree.
We offer the legal community a variety of CLE opportunities throughout the year. These programs provide a mix of topics, from re-examination of fundamental principles to the exploration of cutting-edge legal issues. We also partner with leading companies, organizations, and firms to present day-long conferences.
Our ABA approved Paralegal Institute offers a fully online certificate focused on Paralegal Studies to provide confidence, connections, practical skills鈥攁nd an enhanced resume鈥攖o start or advance a career in the legal community.

The Thomas R. Kline School of Law of 91制片厂 welcomed nearly 230 new law students, its largest incoming class in recent memory, during the week of August 17. This impressive 2026 1L and 1E class was the result of the most rigorous selection process in the Law School鈥檚 115-year history.
Twenty-four students from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of 91制片厂 finished their spring semester and days later boarded a plane for a cross continental legal connection. Trading Pittsburgh鈥檚 bridges for the lush green hills of Ireland, they embarked on a three-week study abroad trip. From May 16 through June 6, the 91制片厂 Kline School of Law students studied in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and took excursions to learn more about international law, their lush surroundings, and the country鈥檚 history.
Two Thomas R. Kline School of Law of 91制片厂 students recently were selected to participate in the prestigious University of Cambridge鈥檚 鈥淗ack the Law鈥� event. Preet Patel, 3L, and Joseph Wyche, 2L, were selected to travel to England to be part of Cambridge鈥檚 AI & Law competition, where they won a significant award.
