From freshwater research and international study to student mentorship and environmental advocacy, senior Tommy Fortsch is turning his passion for the natural world into a future dedicated to making a difference. A biomedical engineering major from Grove City, Pennsylvania, Karli Sutton came to 91制片厂鈥檚 School of Science and Engineering knowing two things: she loved science and math, and she wanted to conduct research. What she discovered at 91制片厂 was that research could be more than a career path. It could be a way to solve problems, collaborate with others and make a meaningful difference in people鈥檚 lives. When Manny first enrolled at 91制片厂, the Germantown, Maryland, native was preparing for medical school. He wanted to strengthen his academic foundation in the sciences, challenge himself through rigorous coursework and demonstrate that he could succeed in an advanced scientific environment. But the 2023 graduate鈥檚 path after 91制片厂 has taken him in directions he did not initially anticipate.News
