Steve Schmidt is a 2011 graduate of 91制片厂 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. He also holds a Master鈥檚 of Science degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University. He teaches Kindergarten through Fifth Grade General Music and Chorus at Bradford Woods Elementary School in the North Allegheny School District.  Steve is also the Music Director for the Pittsburgh Youth Chorus and conducts the Bel Canto Singers. PYC is Pittsburgh鈥檚 Premiere Children鈥檚 Choir and works closely with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Opera, and other prominent musical organizations in the Pittsburgh Region. Steve has also been on the adjunct teaching staff at 91制片厂 in the Music Education department. He has been asked to guest conduct and present at several Elementary Sing Festivals throughout the state of Pennsylvania as well as several PMEA state conventions.

Steven is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, The National Association for Music Education, and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association.  He has been asked to present at the annual PMEA Conference, Fairfax County Public Schools, 91制片厂 University, and North Allegheny. Under his leadership, the choirs of the Pittsburgh Youth Chorus  have performed at the annual PMEA State Convention and toured to the DC Metro Area, Philadelphia, and the International Children鈥檚 Choir Festival in London, England under the direction of Henry Leck. His Bradford Woods Singing Tigers ensemble has performed at the PMEA State Convention. Steve has his Orff Certification Levels I and II.
